A snowboard's performance is key to a great ride. Over time, the base collects dirt and debris, slowing the board. Waxing reduces friction, allowing for a smoother, faster ride with better control. A well-waxed board glides easily, conserving energy and handling various snow conditions like powder or ice. Tuning the edges is also essential. Sharp edges grip icy or hard snow, improving control and reducing the risk of slipping. Dull edges lead to unpredictable behavior and accidents. Regular tuning keeps edges sharp for precise, controlled turns.

Maintaining and servicing your board is crucial for safety and performance.
Enhanced Performance
Increased Safety
Snowboarding involves navigating shifting terrains, from powder to icy patches. A well-maintained snowboard reduces risks in these conditions. Sharp edges ensure grip on icy slopes, while a waxed base minimizes drag, allowing better control. Maintaining the board’s integrity is also crucial. Minor damages like base scratches or edge nicks, if ignored, can worsen, leading to bigger issues. A poorly maintained board is harder to control and may crack or delaminate, posing a risk to the rider. Regular servicing catches these problems early, enabling timely repairs and avoiding costly damage.
Extended Lifespan
Snowboards are a significant investment, and regular servicing is crucial to protect them. The base can wear from contact with ice, rocks, and debris. If deep gouges aren’t repaired, water can penetrate and damage the board's core. Waxing and base repairs protect it from moisture and other elements. Edge damage, like rust or burrs, can also reduce a snowboard's lifespan. Untreated rust weakens the edges, making the board unsafe. Regular edge tuning improves performance and protects the board from long-term damage.
Adapt to conditions
Snowboard servicing can be tailored to suit specific conditions. Cold-weather waxes enhance grip on hard, icy snow, while warm-weather waxes minimize drag on slushy, wet snow. A board prepped for the conditions you'll face will perform far better than one with a generic tune-up. Edge tuning is also customizable—sharper edges provide more control on icy slopes, while a less aggressive edge is ideal for softer, powdery snow, helping to prevent the board from catching and allowing for smoother turns.
Better Experience
Ultimately, regular snowboard servicing leads to a better overall riding experience. When your board is in peak condition, every aspect of your ride improves – from how smoothly you glide down the slopes to how confidently you carve through turns. You’ll find yourself enjoying the sport more when you’re not struggling with a sluggish or unpredictable board. Maintaining your snowboard enhances not only performance but also your personal enjoyment, whether you're carving through fresh powder or tackling steep, challenging runs.
How long will it take?
We normally operate on a weeks turn around on all servicing. You can pay an express charge if you want them turned around quicker and if we can accommodate them. If we think it might take longer than a week we will let you know when you drop the board off.
