The power and precision of the new Volkl Deacon 76 is breathtaking, a great high end piste ski to rival anything out there.  We loved its assured ride, with great edge grip and serious drive through even the worst crud; there's enough width to give a reasonable float in fresh snow on piste and just about enough for the odd foray into the side stashes.
However, you're not really going to be buying this ski for it's ability to just about cope with the off-piste, these are one of the very best piste skis we've ever skied and that's where they will be found, racking up mile upon mile of secure, high speed on piste charging.
